28-70mm F2.8D AF-S ED nikkor nikon zoom lens. This lens came to me in a lot of gear. Appears to have been dropped. Serial number verifies it is a USA lens. Auctions photos show several views of what appears to have been the impact area on the rear of the lens. Lens will mount on a camera. AF does not work at all. Focus turns smoothly but only from infinity to approx. The zoom ring turns the full range but is SOMETIMES a little stiff around 60mm. Other times is rotates exactly as it should, very smooth. Aperture ring turns as it should but the aperture lever will not move and the aperture in the lens is stuck at what is probably around F8 (just a guess).

The exterior surface of the front and rear element have some very small scratches but nothing that would impact image quality in any way under any conditions. I did shoot a few photos in the range it will focus and they look fine. Or perhaps the lens is fixable.
